Starting a blog can be hard if you are new to WordPress. Though WordPress is a logical content management system, known as CMS. Once set up it is really easy and one of the most versatile APPS or platforms to create your new blog or online store.

You might have a vision for your new blog, or you may have seen another blogsite you wish you could have. With WordPress Themes this is easily achievable. There are thousands of niche WP themes out there, with pre designed purpose built layouts and demo sites.

So, when you are wanting to start a blog, you will need a budget of around $80-$130. This will give you the very best WordPress hosting (Blue Hosts), the best theme/s and opportunity to get your idea right the first time. Blue Hosts provide premium themes and apps.

However, if you want to try out WP for a new blog, you can get hosting for $1/month with a free domain name (Ionos) price is for 12m. The price will increase the following year, but you will be able to play around and experiment with a few designs. And get a grasp of it.

Once you have your hosting and domain name, you can install WordPress APP and enter a user name, pw, and email to send reminder to. The next step is to install the theme of your choice. Go to Dashboard/Appearance/Themes and add via upload or search the free themes.

If you experience difficulty with uploading themes you may need to extract the theme file on your computer and access the zip file contained inside. Then you can upload that zip file in the Appearance/Themes/Add Theme option., Just click Activate and voila!

Most premium themes have their own plugins. Go to Dashboard, then you will see an option that says Install Plugins. Tick Select All, and Install. Then again, and Activate. This will ensure that your theme works correctly as it did in the demo. You may also see Demo Import.

Last, you have a privacy page. It is a drag but you will need to read it and click publish. Amend it as you need to and just set it up, even if it’s temporary, it will only take you two minutes to get that done. Then go to Dashboard/Plugins and search Cookie. Install Cookie banner.

That’s it! Your WordPress Blog is now setup. You can start posting, uploading, embedding and creating. A top tip is to bulk upload images. And to embed video from YouTube or Vimeo. The more original images and great blogs you share, the more readers you’ll get.
